typeCAD and Cuttlefish are now one site
September 8, 2026
typeCAD/pcb and typeCAD/hal (formerly Cuttlefish) now share one home: typecad.dev. We're moving everything that lived on the two separate sites here — documentation first, with news and examples following.
Why one site
The two tools are two halves of the same workflow: design the board with typeCAD/pcb, write its firmware with typeCAD/hal. One site means one place to search, one set of release notes, and links that keep working.
What changes for you
- The docs for both tools live under
/pcb/docsand/hal/docs, each with its own reference and search index - Old domains will redirect here for the foreseeable future
- The GitHub repositories are unchanged — links from the product pages point to the same repos as before
Get started
If you're new, start with the pcb getting started guide or the hal getting started guide. If you have questions or find a doc that needs work, open an issue on github.com/typecad.
